Watched “The Lion King” what do I learned!
I love the movie, music and also musical. The Lion King is a moving story about love, loss,
and the circle of life. It follows the life of a young cub, Simba, as he struggles to find himself
and his place in the world.
There are many things that I learned. Starting with some people in the world are just evil.
There are many beautiful humans in the world we live in, but there are a ton of dangerous
people. We must remember this, and we don’t take things personally.
Simba live a worry-free life with the phrase “Hakuna-matata” which roughly translates to
there are no troubles in Swahili. Simba can live without worry, so can we. However, Simba
lives his entire life feeling sorry for himself and blames himself for the death of his father,
which was not his fault. Most importantly, it does not solve any problem or make anything
better by feeling sorry for yourself. Had he forgiven himself, he would have had more
confidence and more clarity of what to do in life. Simba spends most of his life living in fear.
He is scared. He did not forgive himself, and he was scared to go back and challenge Scar.
Once he did, he admits what he had done, challenges Scar face-to-face, and ends up
victorious. I was a victim of this myself. I spent years of my life without fixing my shortfalls.
I never took action and came up with excuses not to fix things that prevent me from moving
forward. With reality, I face the problems I have, and I realize that it is not as scary as I think,
and I feel better. Now, I live with everything is possible as long as I act on it.
Simba is to avoid hyenas. For us, we must avoid the negative people in our life, such as the
liars, and the ones that steal. It is far better to stick with our kinds, people who make us
better. They are the people we need to be surrounding with us. The best is to be selective with
who we hang around. We are the average of the five people we spend most of our time with.
Don’t let any of those five people bring us down.
Lastly, I love the song, Circle of life, and its lyrics. The circle of life applies to any of us. But
accept the fact, live in the present, and think to yourself, “Hakuna-matata.”
