Life lessons, we can learn from dog, our Kola
Each time, when we visit my wife hometown, she is always looking forward to seeing Kola again. Kola has been a constant source of love and amusement but, at the same time, also thought us some of the greatest life lessons.
The first lesson is that Kola lives in the moment; for example, Kola knows where the treats are kept but only access that information when she needs it. Dogs live for the present moment. She demonstrates that the only thing you can enjoy and affect is the present moment.
Kola loves to play and involves movement. It is a good reminder for us to play and move our bodies every day. Playing opens up your mind and spirit to all kinds of ideas and creativity. Kola is always circling or jumping up. She is up and down at the thoughts of getting a treat, or someone that she likes is around. We live life in the fast lane that we often forget to get excited or celebrate the good times because we are already on to the next thing. There is much to jump for joy in our beautiful world.
Kola is always herself, never pretending to be something she is not. She is loved being herself, silly sometimes, happy or sad some other time. She does not care what we think. That is what makes her so adorable. I wish I can be as cute as Kola.
The most important is that Kola demonstrates unconditionally love. No matter what, Kola loves you unconditionally and wag her tails when she sees us, no matter what mood we are in even if you shout at her. She instantly forgive us, no matter how we behave. Loving others unconditionally is a difficult task, but it is the one that would surely make the world a better place if we all make an effort.
We can learn a lot from our dog, the companionship, loyalty, and conditional love is unmatched by any human standards.
